I would def encourage you to make it an open prompt list!! I personally would prefer that, partly because with gifts there's often specific people I want to make (free) things for. :D A model to go off of could be how hqhols worked (but using google docs or smth instead of ao3) for example. ^^ Thanks for considering it. I'm excited! <3

Will you be releasing a list of prompts after match-ups are done for people who would like to make gifts (as in, if they aren't signed up/for people they aren't assigned to)? ^^ As someone who'd like to do that, I'd love for you to do so!!

i really haven’t thought about this before but it isn’t a bad idea! i might release a list of prompts, since some people came up with lots and really original ones. i’m just a bit unsure wether to leave them anonymous and reveal their owners only to people who’re interested to create for said prompt or just make an open list.

tbh i dont think im the right person to ask but I think my main sentiment about art is to create what you want, and not what others want. I do photography and paint and occasionally some digital art & well, i just draw and take pictures of whatever the fuck i want basically. Don’t force yourself to draw something everyday if you can’t do it. I know some people are like ‘draw everyday so u can improve!’ I mean I guess that works but like, there’s no feeling of fulfillment, there’s no motivation in there, no inspiration. It’s about how you feel when you draw. Yeah sure you have to push yourself to learn, but there’s always time to learn, u r not obligated to draw every single day. get fired up!! I almost only draw when I’m inspired like, if there’s a new cool song, or a pretty movie that just fires up something in me, you know? whether i saw a dog at the park, went to starbucks, woke up late, watch zayn’s videos all day, i draw about it because it inspired me (somehow idk haha)

I’m reaaaally not the right dude to ask for advice cuz I’m a bit unorthodox and I fall under that ‘aesthetic hipster artist who takes photos of vintage bathtubs’ but my advice is to find inspiration and create what you want to create my man!!! Don’t let other people tell you what you should and shouldn’t do. plus there’s so many ways to find inspiration!! like I personally like watching music videos and pretty af movies with trippy colors (Grand Budapest Hotel, Tony Takitani, Her, etc) It’s a nice way to study color and perspective, and i think u can probably tell my art focuses more on color theory + lines than the usual fundamentals like shading and shit. Anyways yeah, just be comfortable with your style and stop comparing yourself to others. that’s always the first step my bro.

R: Are there any writers (fanfic or otherwise) you consider an influence?

unfortunately i haven’t been reading quite as much as i should be because i’m mostly restricting myself to a document of my own writing so i don’t really “grow” as a writer except for what i discover myself.

however, one recent development i do have is present-tense use. i don’t remember who i first saw present-tense use from, but ever since adopting present-tense (since january), i have grown to really love it and use it almost exclusively. so that is an influence. so basically anyone that uses present-tense is one my influence list probably lol.

also ernest hemingway taught me to be concise. and poets taught me to not care about grammar (or at least use punctuation to my own rules). and someone taught me to use emdashes all too much. don’t know who.

but in general life, i am heavily influenced by my tumblr life partner @ambivia, just btw. idk, we just happened.

I love love love books written for children in that transition phase from children to teens?? they’re just so whimsical and magical and perfect.  some of my favorites are The Mysterious Benedict Society and The Apothecary, but I also love The Book Thief (I have a copy in english and in german, and they’re my favorite things)

she’s gonna hate me for saying this but the first thought that came to mind was: smol.  she’s tiny and asian and has a high pitched voice that she thinks is a lot more annoying than it actually is.  she sleeps even less than i do, has her shit together a lot more than i do, and has an intense love for boho fashion, her husbando tag, and any and every kind of potato chip.  she’s the kind of person you’d wanna keep around because the memories are just too great to forget
