One more PC upgrade

This one was newer, and only needed a new CPU to be upgradable. I doubled its RAM too though as I had some spare

I fucked up though because I forgot the BIOS needed an update before it could recognise the new CPU... I put it straight in then had to take it out again lol

And learned that AMD sockets have "zero force" and the CPU game out glued to the cooler 💀

Apparently that happens a lot. I didn't bend any pins and I managed to separate it by heating the whole thing up with a hair dryer

The bios update was good, it had a shiny new splash screen after, I swapped the CPU again

And now it's just needs some space for windows 11. Like my other one, it has a tiny and completely full C drive. This one belongs to Greg and he's said he wants a new m.2 like I considered to put windows 11 on. I need to check leaving the old one in there won't cause problems. But it should be fine

It did post but wouldn't output a picture to HDMI at first, I had to haul it upstairs to plug it into a monitor over Displayport/VGA then after doing that once and doing bios setup it was fine with HDMI again

**UPDATE**

So I returned the 4500 Ryzen 5 and replaced it with a 5600. I did some research and found out the the 4500 was only 8MBs cache compared to the 3600 and 5600 being 32MBs cache, and it was significantly clocked lower than the Ryzen 5 3600 which I originally thought was slower than the 4500. Assuming the higher number the better, and it wasn’t. 4500 was lower clocked for price reasoning. So I returned the 4500, and went with the 5600 instead. And it’s going to be worth it over the 4500. That would of been like getting a slower 3600, so 5600 is good.
