Have some MeiKona for the Ame Birthday Bash!

I wrote a fic for the Ame Birthday Bash (hosted by @ame-trio-birthday-bash ) for the prompt "Any AU." More specifically, this is a Modern AU where Konan is a bartender. It's also for MultiKonan week, hosted by @narutorarepaireventhub . It was supposed to be for the prompt "Flirting," but I a. little late.

Summary: It was a quiet night at the bar where Konan worked. She absentmindedly polished one of the glasses while looking around at the old photographs of her and her friends.

It had been three years since Yahiko died, but her heart still ached when she thought about him. Konan had never known someone like Yahiko before they met, and she doubted she would ever find someone quite like him again.

However, a woman walked into the bar that night who winds up stealing Konan's heart. Konan feels like she can see a bit of her lost loved one in that woman, and they both quickly fall for each other.

Summary: It had been a long night on a battlefield near a settlement on the outskirts of Hidden Rain Lake. The battle had gone on for days, leaving rubble in its wake. The smell of smoke choked the air and people were in a panic. The Akatsuki were right there in the midst of the chaos, just to make sure that they could protect those who couldn’t protect themselves.

But then, in the midst of all of the chaos, the sun rises. The sun rises and hope begins to emerge. The suffering of the Hidden Rain may soon come to an end.

Have Some YahiKona Gardening Fluff for the Ame Birthday Bash!

This is for the Ame Birthday Bash (hosted by @ame-trio-birthday-bash ) with the prompt "Plants." It's also for MultiKonan week, hosted by @narutorarepaireventhub .

Summary: Yahiko hadn’t had the chance to visit the greenhouse since they fixed it up, but he could see just how excited Konan was to be down here. She immediately put on a pair of gardening gloves and crouched down to weed the plants, humming to herself all the while.

The two of them picked tomatoes together, and then Konan gave her beloved a little surprise.

This fic is for the last day of the Ame Birthday Bash, hosted by @ame-trio-birthday-bash . The prompt is "Traveling." It's called "Wonders of a New Land!"

Summary: Yahiko stretched his legs as he stared down the trail to the Hidden Waterfall Village. He and several other members of the Akatsuki had been personally invited to speak with the new leader of the village, a young man named Shibuki. It was an opportunity that none of them wanted to miss, especially not if they wanted to form an alliance with the Hidden Waterfall Village.

Along the way, the Akatsuki saw new sights and experiences, ones that they would treasure for a long time. not only that, but the whole group looked forward to seeing what the Hidden Waterfall Village had in store for them.

This one is called "Blood on His Hands" as the free space prompt for Ame Birthday Bash, hosted by @ame-trio-birthday-bash . It's also for MultiKonan week, hosted by @narutorarepaireventhub , with the prompt "Blood."

Summary: Nagato groaned in pain as he tried to slowly stand back up. His hands were still shaking from the adrenaline rush of the battle. The Akatsuki had known that Hanzo wanted to destroy them, but none of them had quite expected Hanzo himself to track them down all the way into their new hideout and go after their leaders.

It had been a long and dangerous battle, but the three of them had made it out alive in the end, having killed Hanzo and ending the fight between their factions once and for all.

And yet, Nagato felt strange about everything that happened. He felt relieved that he had killed Hanzo. Now, the Akatsuki didn’t have to fear Hanzo’s wrath. Now, the Hidden Rain was no longer under his thumb. At that point, Nagato didn’t feel any of the guilt he once felt after taking a life.

Was this how he was supposed to feel? Was it right for him to take someone’s life into his own hands and not even care about it afterward? Would that make him no better than Hanzo or any other shinobi?

How much of the blood on the ground was his? How much of it was Hanzo’s? How much of it was the blood of his loved ones? So much blood had been shed, and Nagato feared how much more would be shed in the future.

Have a YahiKona fic about the Akatsuki taking care of a frog!

This was written for day 2 of the Ame Birthday Bash, hosted by @ame-trio-birthday-bash ! The prompt is "Frogs." This is also for Multi-Konan week, hosted by @narutorarepaireventhub.

Summary: Yahiko and Konan were walking back from a mission when they heard the sound of a frog croaking nearby. The two of them stopped to find out where the sound was coming from.

There was a tiny brown frog sitting in the puddle, small enough that it could easily fit in Yahiko’s palm with plenty of room to spare. However, the little creature appeared to have an injury on one of its legs.

Yahiko and Konan took it back to the base, and they and their friends helped make sure the little frog could heal safely.
