One of my biggest Naruto hot takes is that as terrible as Naruto's childhood was by the standards of the Naruto world it wasn't that bad. Sure he was an orphaned pariah but he had food, shelter and no one was actively trying to kill him until her became a child soldier which he did at normal age for the Hidden Leaf. Compared to guys like Haku, the Ame Orphans and even Kakashi Naruto could have had it much worse.
