This little Whiting and Davis bag was my mom's. She remembers carrying it to her prom, which was early 1940s, and she gave it to me when I was about the same age. It was probably a gift from her doting Aunt Jinx (who had been a true flapper, and the nick name stuck!). Finally dug into the cargo trailer, packed full with the last load out of the 1st St. Shop. Now destined for the trailers and New Bohemia! So glad I was smart enough to pack the swim wear, blouses, shawls and pants inside a plastic bag before I put them in a cardboard box. Seeing water marks and black mold on the outside of that box made me kinda nauseous...
