All while navigating this strange place called America.” Miller has combined crime fiction, humor and social issues into a wonderful novel. He makes great observations about race relations and the politization of criminal investigation. He does it with great insight and humor. There is tragedy and there are people building bridges. The Sheriff’s talk at the end says a lot.
