before labelling avatar the last airbender as an "excellent representation of colonialism" ask yourself why this show created by the citizens of an imperial nation for other citizens of an imperial nation spends more time and effort trying to make us sympathise with fire nation characters rather than exploring the literal genocide the protagonist suffered. ask yourself why the angriest character in this how is a literal imperial prince while the protagonists, victims of war crimes, are repeatedly asked to forgive their oppressors.

Americans please shut the fuck up challenge. All of them legitimately believe every experience outside their country either:

A) doesn't happen

B) happens solely to serve as a learning model for them
