Good morning 👋. Although in most cases it is not recommended to take #photos during extremely sunny conditions, sometimes it cannot be helped 😰. While at a mid-morning #AmericanFlamingo (Phoenicopterus ruber) #photo shoot in at #zoomiami, the sun was already up and scorching 😜. The logic tells to have the sun in front of the subject and behind the camera which in some cases can be achieved by repositioning yourself 😉. The camera sensor will beg for light so it is logical to decrease the size of the aperture by increasing the f-stop value. But in this case I tried a bit of a reversal of the rules. I increased my aperture size while also increasing the shutter speed since I originally wanted to capture 'action scenes'. That still limited the amount of light reaching the sensor so it gave the photo a bit of sense of underexposure, thus giving the subject's colors some intensisity and overall contrast gallore 🙌. Depending on the situation, I do prefer an image that is more dark and sudued over a bright and vivid one 😌. So, what do you think about this photo of a #flamingo?
