Amethyst Talks: Divination

Okay, lets have a Amethyst Talk shall we? Today we'll talk about divination specifically today.

Divination is the practice of using a tool whether it is the sky, tarot cards, stones, water and oil, or another tool to learn about the future or the messages from spirit guides, deities, or ancestors. Some of the more well known divination tools are tarot cards, oracle decks, pendulums, dowsing rods, and the I Ching. Each of these divination tools have their own pros and cons for them and some are geared for a specific type of question. For example, pendulums aren't very good for in depth understanding but tarot cards are great for in depth answers. So a lot of times, you'll see diviners have more than one tool. One may be tarot and another may be a pendulum. They may also have several of one type of divination tool.

Divination is a very personalized practice despite that it can also be used for other people. One diviner may read tarot specifically for wealth and health and romance while another tarot reader may prefer not to do that. There are no two diviners that are the exact same because of how personalized divination can be. Even pendulums and dowsing rods can be personalized. For example, I've met people who's pendulum swings forward and back for a yes and left to right for a no but my pendulum swings counterclockwise for yes and clockwise for a no.

Outside of the differences between each diviner and each divination tool, they each have the same basic purpose; to aid you in getting answers that you cannot get from the mundane world. You can use divination for understanding a message from a god. You can use it for getting information so that you can make a more informed decision. You can use it for getting a forecast for the next day/week/month/year. The possibilities for divination is basically endless.

TL;DR - Divination is a way to get answers in a variety of ways and is highly personalized to the diviner. Try it out!
