don’t make me think up sad headcanons because I will go out on you- with @amicaux-laquais
Oh I forgot to add about the fluffy thread with momma!Vittel and son ja'far. I like the whole idea. And you're right about it may cause Ja'far paranoia if he knew the truth of them being on the run from the organization. But what if the organization finds them? And shit blows up?
the what if with Ja'far knowin or with him not knowing?
//With him not knowing? Because it would be so confusing and angst and sad? IT is up to you thoughsorry i'm a sucker for angst
................. depends on how long they were away. if it's for more than a year or two, he probably would be dead before he knows what's happening he's still a child and keeps forgetting things fast when he doesn't practice them. so if Vittel and Mahad took him, told him they don't have to hurt people anymore and he doesn't need to exercise so hard anymore, he probably would drop it to where it's more an aesthetical training/keeping his body in form
I mean I do think that Ja'far was told to kill animals before he was able to understand the concepts of life and death. but humans ... Idk. either they were put into place for that the child only had to do the last cut, or his parents were actually the first humans he killed
True :/ Sham Lash is like a very twisted place to grow up in. PErhaps he didn't understand what life and death meant until he killed his parents, perhaps he didn't know they were dead that he actually killed them, before understanding they weren't coming back? [just throwing out another theory]
that theory is awesome tbh. I mean look at how little Ja'far stares at his blade /after/ it's already covered in blood. how he trembles and just stops to move till he's repeatedly prompted "to kill them". tbh I can imagine that he was told to "kill them" and he did it like he did all those times before. the times before, he was then though brought away from the animal (or maybe human? I'm not sure how I wanna hc that just yet), and he didn't know what happened afterwards. maybe he thought they slept. so he did that with his parents and then stayed there. waited. they didn't stand up. not even when he pushed at them, started to cry and beg them to move again. Ja'far ran out to find help, find the boss of their organization and they went there again, where the boss found them still barely alive, but unconscious and just hanging on a thin thread of life. "Kill them Ja'far. Kill them." by then Ja'far realized they are like that because of that he stabbed them. he somehow understands they won't be better when he does it again. the first time made that they hardly breathed anymore. "Kill, them Ja'far. If you want to survive, you have to kill them." Ja'far remembers the halfway rotten corpse of an animal that they found once. the adults didn't say a word, Ja'far only noticed it didn't breathe anymore, and finally they took it apart to cook and eat it. it stopped breathing. his parents would stop breathing. he'd kill them. make them "dead". make them not breathe anymore. they would stop to exist
