A Migi MoMent: My 89-Year Old Migi Mo Geeks Out!!
Over the past week, Migi and I have been binge watching the Marvel Cinematic Universe movies in sequence. I still haven’t seen Black Panther and Avengers: Infinity War—hence the bingeing. Tonight we are filling in n the gaps with Ant Man and Thor: Ragnarok. Guess you could say we’re hosting our own little “ComiCon” in East Mesa!!

A Migi MoMent: The Persuasive Ways of the Migi
and my birthday celebration continues!!! little bit of household background: things are a bit tight financially, so i try my best to cook most of our food. Migi Mo doesn't really cook much these days. however, she IS quick to say: "why don't i give you a $5 bill from my purse so you can go pick up some dinner for us at Vaqueros?" (she is also HIGHLY unrealistic on how much things cost these days!!) on the other hand, it takes ALL KINDS of cajoling to get her to leave the house. so we have two opposing dynamics here--her "nesting" versus my frugality!! yet today she says: "lemme take my shower and then we can go OUT for an early dinner...FOR YOUR BIRTHDAY..." call me skeptical, but i kinda think SHE'S milking my birthday as an excuse for me to take her out! : ] gosh, i love my Migi Mo to pieces!!!

she never ceases to amaze me... watching an episode from ellen's premiere week with the Migi. airing from rockefeller plaza in NYC, ellen introduces her "east coast gardener"...justin bieber. the crowd goes wild. the camera pans the screaming fans. Migi: "i don't know WHAT those girls see in that guy! you'd think they were going to die or something the way they're screaming!!!" : ]
