The Rules:

I want to write a longfic soooo badly right now but brainstorming an actual *plot* is so difficult for me (hence all my published stuff being so short, lol).

I want to write Minerva/Hermione, but the circumstances have to be just right so that the transition from teacher/student to friends to relationship feels natural and realistic. They need to transition to *really* feeling like total and complete equals, and how does that happen?

I want to write Kya/Lin, but I've only recently got into them and have only seen atla and tlok once and am afraid that I won't capture the world or the characters correctly. And where do I even begin to create a plot?

I want to write Kathryn/Beverly, but how do I get them together? I could put them on a ship together post-voyager, but for what? What's *that* part of the plot about? And how does it influence the romance?

I want to write Kathryn/Seven, but Seven's tone is so particular and hard to get right. Is this on voyager? After voyager? What's the catalyst for them beginning to act on their feelings?

I want to write Michael/Laira, but how do I get them to spend an extended period of time together? The president of the federation wouldn't normally be allowed to just fly around with Disco for safety reasons, and Michael wouldn't want to be anywhere else.

I want to write Moiraine/Siuan, but their canon world is so tragic. So, a modern au? But how does the necessity for secrecy in their relationship translate? And allll of the other factors that lead to them being who they are? And without the dragon reborn pushing the plot, what does?

I want to write Amilyn/Leia or Amilyn/Leia/Han, but the star wars world is so complicated and confusing. I prefer to write them as older adults, and where does that fit in with the existing plotlines? So, an AU? But again, without all of the circumstances of the star wars world, what drives it?

Essentially, I need help. Oop.

Amilyn/Leia "Kissing their bruises and scars" 🥺

A few kisses.

In the darkness of the room, it was hard to make out the shape of Amilyn's body in the dark. Leia had to activate the small holo on the table to be able to see her own feet. As she removed her boots, her gaze drifted to the bed again.

The holo's glow cast a gleam on her bare shoulders. The sheets blanketed her hips as she slept on her stomach with her arms stretched across both pillows. Leia stripped down to her under shirt and walked to the edge of the bed.

In the low light, Leia studied her back. There was a long, straight lined scar across her left shoulder; she had been grazed by laser fire during the war of their youth. The more compact jagged scar was just visible above where one of her kidneys should be. That one had happened two years ago.

And the bruises on her upper right arm were from just a few days ago. Leia had almost lost her.

Slipping into bed next to her lover, Leia couldn't help but press her lips repetitively along the long scar on Amilyn's shoulder. As she kissed the rough skin, she thanked the stars that Amilyn had come back to her.

A hum came from Amilyn's throat and she snuggled into Leia's arms. As tired as she was, Leia was content to hold Amilyn's naked form close, trying to soak up every inch of her.

When Leia's lips found the fresh bruises, Amilyn spoke sleepily, "I'm here, Princess. I haven't left you."

The words were comfort enough to allow Leia to close her eyes. For everyone she loved seemed to abandon her in one way or another, Amilyn was here. And that was enough for her.
