What if before Storybrooke, a young 18 year old Emma found herself in a far away place known as Neverland? Once there perhaps she had frolicked with a young Pan, while crossing paths with the devilish Captain Hook. Had it all been a dream? Or had the strange land actually existed, the faded memories real. Story complete. *bonus "missing scene" M chapters added to the end*
An interesting idea that is very much for Captain Swan shippers and is very anti-Nealfire. (I don’t mind it because I’m anti-Neal...so there we go.) Like, anti to the point of using plot devices (trying to give this without any spoilers, but not sure I can so skip to the next paragraph if you want to avoid them) to change the situation with Henry. (Well....that’s not too spoiler-y. I don’t think I gave anything too major away. Maybe? You might be able to infer something. And yes, I’m using this long ramble to make it so anyone who avoided the spoiler won’t have that awkward moment where they accidentally read it because it’s right above their eye line.)
So now that we’ve explained that- this is an interesting story with an interesting twist. Very OUAT, when you think about it. I’m not saying it’s the best Captain Swan fic you’ll ever read, but it’s worth taking a look at.
I personally think the dialogue is great, I enjoy the description, and it’s not as dark as the Neverland arc itself was on the show (this was published before all that happened on air, anyways). Interesting.
Very interesting.
And warning: might give rise to some interesting plot bunnies of your own.

Plot: Killian is not like any other man. Emma is not like any other woman. And together, they are not like any other couple.
Overview: Truth be told, the entire time while reading this fic, all I wanted to do was smash their faces together and go ‘now kiss’. Obviously I couldn’t do that, but oh, I wanted to. The sexual tension that lingers is tragically perfect and if feel like, if Lieutenant Duckling was real, it would be very similar to this.
Things I liked: I like how rigged they are. Neither is admitting anything. Neither is going for the other one. They just put up with one anther and their emotions. It wouldn’t surprise be if they hated one another, both being such prideful beings. The author was very creative with that.
What I disliked: It’s only a one shot. I want more dammit! Also, there was a fantasy scene that involved some sexitimes. I wanted it to be real so badly!
Final words: Check it out. Very good story. Short and not much dialogue and what is spoke fits the characters very well.
Final rating: 8/10 diamond studded swans.

Plot: Every night, Killian Jones is visited by a mysterious mermaid in his dreams, who sings him songs he has never heard, but aches to hear once day breaks. This goes on and on until finally, the mermaid appears in the flesh. Or does she?
Overview: So, I had to read this one twice because I got rather confused by it. However, the second time around, I put the pieces together and found it to be a very captivating fic. Very slow and simple, with a fantastic twist and exciting possibilities of how it would end.
Things I liked: Killian is wonderfully written. There isn’t much said, but you understand how he feels. Is he going crazy? Is he under a curse? He is taunted by this dream woman who is falls in love with, and I love that. Emma is also fantastic. She doesn’t understand most things, but having Killian in her arms is everything to her.
What I disliked: It’s only a one shot. There was a 1% mention of Milah, and while I hate that woman to the core, it wasn’t too big of a deal. Literally, she’s brought up for like two sentences.
Final words: Seriously, check it out. This author doesn't use a lot of characters speaking, but when they do, it’s the best part of the story.
Final rating: 9/10 diamond studded swans.
FanFic Recommendation of the week, if not the whole month
Sometimes I read fanfics that are ok, sometimes they're good, sometimes they're good, but much like other ones that I've read.
And then there's this, by amiserablelove25, in which Emma is a mermaid that haunts Killian's dreams. An absolutely original, brilliant, beautifully crafted and written story.
Here is the link again, go read it and give her some love. Seriously, the best fanfic I've read lately.
