Don’t play “what’s behind that gate” in the Shivering isles

In the Japanese version of Breath of the Wild, the adventure log (which keeps track of what quests you were doing) is written in the first person.  “I now have the master sword.” “Cado asked me to find his cuccos.”  Meaning Link is writing the adventure log.

In the English version, this was written in the second person.  “You now have the master sword.” “Cado asked you to find his cuccos.”

So here’s my head cannon:

Link wrote the adventure log, but he wrote it in second person, because he’s speaking to his future self, and keeping track of everything just in case he forgets everything again.

Strange how Blinded man has no memories or recollection of ever meeting much less seeing Amnesia guy tho ain’t it? Hmmm wonder why, or is it because Amnesia guy doesn’t look like how he does now? Hmmm

My little guy! He’s a special bugger that’s for sure.

The way he works is when you tell him to come in, he’ll automatically kick out a visitor and take their place. And he’s always a visitor, but he’s a passive one, meaning he doesn’t kill anyone even if there’s another visitor in the house. Doesn’t mean visitors can’t kill your guests of course, if you have 2 visitors in your house AND him, they can still kill.

He talks about how he can’t remember his childhood or names or even where he’s from, but does talk about how he remembers or well dream about a woman whose hold him and a old man who talk to him a lot. Presumably his family, his mom and grandpa.

He does not allow the Protag to check anything other than his teeth and eyes. Checking on him too much will causes him to get annoyed, which can causes him to either leave, or refuse to talk or even interact with the Protag/player
