Day 241: I'm super close to being off accutane oh my goodness. My skins being a bit problematic though with little baby breakouts. The dermatologist said that it's a hormonal thing so she put me on a water pill to block them, or something like that aha. I didn't really understand. But oh my gosh I'm so excited to clear up the scarring, it was a little extra visible today. Also I felt that the peace picture was necessary aha
Day 219: I've noticed that my skin really really responds to sleep. It's been a bit cruddy this week but last night I got a ton of sleep and I woke up to really glowy looking skin! I'm super happy about it. And I thought I'd include that last night my friend and I tried on some fun stuff at a thrift store and it was so nice
Day 215: Little update, my dermatologist is having me apply Retin-A on certain parts of my face that have a bit deeper scarring like my cheek, so we will see how this goes :)
Hopefully the start of my last month on accutane 😊😊
Day 203: So I went to the dermatologist yesterday and she decided to keep me on Accutane for another month since I'm still have breakouts. I'm excited though!! I'm ready to start treating my scars and things and I'm so close to being done with Accutane. Today's been a super great skin day too and yay! I'm super duper happy about it. Also, I finally got my questions to work aha, I was having struggles, so if anyone wants to know anything about Accutane id love to answer :)
Day 154: A little update, everything is going very well!! The pictures don't quite capture it but my skin is really glowy today and I'm not sure why but I'm really liking it. The right side of my face is really smooth and soft, I hope the left side catches up aha. I think I'm getting really near the end though and I'm kind of scared. Have anyone of you guys finished your courses yet? Oh also, there's this ponds moisturizer in like a big tub container and it works wonders for dry flaking skin. My skin around my eyebrows and mouth likes to just peel off during the day but totally worth it. Also, does anybody else's lips just completely peel off every other day or so? Like I can just peel a layer of skin off my lip and it happens almost everyday, it's very strange 😂. Oh, also in taking 80mg everyday as of now. Good luck everyone :)
Day 93: Guys, can we just talk about how much better my skin has gotten? I can't even explain how grateful I am to accutane for this improvement. I have no acne on my back or chest anymore, and virtually no acne on my face. This is the best my skin has been in years and I'm so happy. The first line of pictures were taken before I even started accutane (but I had been on minocycline for 2 months) and it's hard to imagine that my skin used to look that way. If you're really struggling with acne please consider this medication, I know the side affects seem bad, but before I started this I was so sad. I started missing tons of school, staying home always, and not talking to anyone. As strange as it sounds acne became a huge problem and sort of took over my life and I hope nobody else has to go through that. Good luck to everyone!
I got my dose upped so now instead of just 40 mg every day I'll take 80mg one day and then 40 the next. I'm so excited for month three though!!! Everyone has such good luck in their third month it seems! You all look so lovely, good luck!
