Riha had been in the right place at the right time, that's all there was to it. Clipboard in hand she'd entered lab G-3 to collect samples of different excrement to evaluate the potential as fertiliser, with the mold debacle they were looking at a lower projected yield then she'd like. The samples kept in G-3 ranged, the lab was composed of different containment systems for the needs of the samples.
She hadn't known Dr. Gaster would be there, though she'd have been thrilled to see him. Unfortunately for her the chance for an un complicated meeting was lost when an intern in a hurry tripped and dropped a strong corrosive! The poor intern was scrambling away and stripping off her lab coat as the cuffs dissolved, while the liquid spread the arc blocking the skeleton into a corner where he had likely been collecting a sample of something for his own work.
Later she wouldn't be able to say if it was instinctive or because it was him. Dropping the clip board she launched. No one could risk touching the material so jumping over was out of the question, but she wasn't jumping. Her wings opened with a sound akin to cloth whipping in the wind as she flew over and scooped the scientist into her arms one around his shoulders the other under his knees she fluttered up and for a moment looked over him the icy eyes small points of color as she checked over him for any sign of the corrosive... nothing it seemed she sighed softly smiling gently glad he was unharmed. So relieved he was ok she didn't really notice how close she held him fluttering in the air above the danger of the spill, for a moment it was just him...
