Hello! How fortunate it is that I have run into you just now. I'm sure you're curious about how the house construction is going. There's been some progress with the masonry.

As you can see, the new retaining wall has been fitted neatly into the old existing wall at that side, and then connects to the house here.

Well, the basement anyway. All the interesting stuff is happening down there at the moment. Come and look!

Everything is a bit of a mess at the moment. Just ignore that part, and keep going toward the back. It's dark in there, because the electricians haven't finished installing things yet. Don't worry about it.

And here we have a lot of pipes and tubes and wires which are allegedly going to become the heating system. Yes, there is a bit of a gap between the foundation wall and the rest of the room. You don't need to look there, it's full of insulation once you get a couple of inches past the opening.

But of course you always were curious, and so—

So, does anyone know what producers of Amontillado, both contemporary and back when the story was published, think of the short story The Cask of Amontillado? I'm curious.
