Mugshot Monday - “Hand Painted Pescado” coffee mug by Amota with Morning Glory Signature Blend by Peace Coffee
I don’t know much about where this cute little coffee mug comes from, but here’s the story.
Jenny, my son’s girlfriend, was at the Cinco de Mayo celebration on Lake Street in Minneapolis this year and saw these mugs for sale.
She didn’t get any specific info from the vendor -- only that it was made in Mexico. The mug is signed “MEX. Amota” on the bottom and Google tells me there is similar work with the same stamp.
Photos of larger pieces say, “Hecho en Mexico [Made in Mexico]”, but that’s all I could find. “Amota” may be a region in Mexico where the pottery is made, or maybe it’s the artist’s name? 🤷🏼♂️
It’s a delightful little cup and she said it was only $2!! They need to boost those prices. 😀 I love it.
