—> Dumping the end of the series. A huge thank you to everyone who’s read this series, I owe you a massive apology for losing the PB sparkle and letting you down. So, here’s the detailed ending of ACT II and ACT III and the prologue as I doubt I’ll finish HYE. I might just write a few scenes between Heaven and Amos but that’s all. This story will always mean a lot to me because it made me come up with Heaven and Amos, obviously, but first and foremost because I met some incredibly talented and kind mutuals on the way. Mutuals I genuinely view as friends. Thank you guys. Here’s to those who were here from the start, those who left long ago and to the very few lost souls who’ll stumble upon this.
With all my love and gratitude,
Shark
Act II — CARNAGE.
• Il Diavulu Blancu: A pregnant and furious Heaven flees from Arrow House, where Tommy keeps her “safe”. In fact, she decides to take the whole war into her own hands. Pretending to be a meek and sad widow, she begs Mama Changretta to listen to her — she even brings homemade pastries and lemonade.
At first Mama Changretta is suspicious, asks Heaven to eat and drink first — which she does. After that, Audrey and her grandkids enjoy Hev’s food. Then Heaven begs for Luca to accept Tommy’s surrender, while Audrey refuses and mocks her. That is when the mask drops and we discover how fully monstrous Hev is.
Her face becomes blank, she confesses that everything is poisoned. At first Audrey doesn’t believe it until Heaven’s nose starts to bleed and her grandkids cry, complaining about a tummy ache. Audrey starts to fall on the floor, crying and bleeding too, calling Heaven a monster and say “what kind of woman is willing to kill herself and her baby just for her plans?” To which Heaven replies “You said it: a monster.” Then she admits, very coldly and heartlessly, that she doesn’t care about the baby, she never wanted it, she doesn’t even care about dying, nor killing children. Nothing makes her genuinely feel something anymore anyway.
The chapter ends up with Audrey begging for her grandkids’s life and accepting the surrender when Heaven shows her the little vial of antidote and put it down right under the sole of her boots, silently threatening Audrey to kill them all by stomping on the vial. At this point, Heaven’s mouth and nose bleed copiously but she doesn’t budge nor show any discomfort.
She leaves the place after kicking the vial for it to roll to Audrey.
• Watch It All Burn: Heaven loses her baby, and is very weak because she took the antidote a tad bit too late. Next scene: She’s in the room when Arthur comes back and shoots Luca. Time-skip to the last episode of S4 in which the Shelby party and Arthur says he’s going to stay. Heaven, who’s been distant, disdainful and silent since his comeback, verbally crush everyone in the family, says she even hesitated poisoning everyone here, dumps Arthur and leaves. She goes back to Lucy’s house.
FINAL — SEVERANCE.
The time-skip is far shorter than in the show. Just one year, because I didn’t respect the show’s whole timeline. Anyway, Heaven’s been living with Lucy since she dumped Arthur. The final chapter focuses on Amos’s POV. For those who forgot, he’s the mysterious former lover I’ve been teasing since the first chapter. He’s been hunting and tracking Heaven and the Shelbys since the end of Act II.
Basically, when Tommy plan to kill Mosley, he gets into contact with a German who is 1. Very against the rise of nazism in his country and 2. literally belongs to the highest sphere of German society, so has access to any kind of information. They make a deal and right before he leaves, Tommy asks for his name and said hitman replies “Amos.” *add Pikachu meme here as readers realize that, yup, Heaven never ever mentioned his name because she always refused to talk about him*.
He starts working in the shadows for Tommy, giving him information and being the one in charge of taking Mosley’s life. However, Tommy doesn’t know that Amos only does that to get closer to Hev. Tommy even comes to trust him. Manipulation yay!
The night of the Swan thing party with Mosley at Arrow House, Heaven is here for some reason I didn’t figure out but who cares? Maybe because she’s done with Arthur trying to reach to her so she wants to confronts him. Anyway. While Arthur is outside facing Linda, Heaven goes out to see what’s going on but she’s ambushed by section D, who plotted their revenge since ACT I. The agent sneaks behind Heaven and slits her throat. She’s left for dead. Fortunately, Amos gets here just in time, shoots the agent and manages to keep Heaven alive ‘til she’s taken care of by medics.
The last remaining chapters revolves around Heaven waking up, shocked as she sees Amos watch over her. She silently breaks down in his arms, unable to scream nor speak. Ultimately, resentment fades away as she’s just relieve he’s here now. Amos nurses her back to life gently and tenderly, all the while finishing the job:
- He kills Mosley successfully, then feeds him to Diana. (Very graphic and twisted right?)
- He beats Arthur black and blue easily when the latter confronts him. He stops right before killing him. Not out of pity but because he finds him pathetic.
- He terrorizes Tommy by popping up in Ruby’s bedroom at night. When Tommy enter the room, he sees Amos playing dolls with Ruby while they sing a German nursery. Ruby exclaims “oh Daddy! Look what Uncle Amos bought for me!”. When they leave the room, Amos then threatens Tommy. He tells him that at first he wanted to slaughter all of them but Heaven asked him to let them live their miserable life because death would be a kindness. However, he tells Tommy that he better forgets about Hev and him, otherwise he’d come back and next time he wouldn’t show mercy. He states “ I’ll have your children and entire family tortured, then raped by my dogs and killed in front of your eyes. And finally, I’ll have you eat your own bloody daughter to the last pound of flesh if you try to find us ever again.”
* that part was supposed to convey how TERRIFYING and insane Amos is, and that he’s someone you don’t wanna cross. Someone Tommy can’t do anything against because, involved in politics or not, he’s no one compared to people in the highest spheres of society. Also that was supposed to show a real creepy villain.
PROLOGUE— SANCTUARY.
Through Tommy’s POV: Four years later, Ruby is sick. Tommy knows one witch whose able to cure her. He travels to an Switzerland, where Heaven and Amos lives in the Castle of Vuillerens. They are finally married, happy and have found a way to balance their toxic traits and create a (mostly) healthy relationship. Tommy has never seen Heaven beaming like this (except for the ugly scar on her throat). He manages to talk to her behind Amos back and begs her to cure both Ruby and him. Heaven replies “Here’s Tommy Shelby finally wanting to make a deal with the Devil, but you ain’t sick and you’re daughter is already gone. No one can do anything for you except Death. Now leave before Amos sees you.”
Last scene: We’re in a church late in the evening. Heaven sings “My Jolly Sailor Bold” but this time it sounds happier. Amos steps in the church and hugs her from behind.
Final sentence: “They were blinded by the Heaven in her eyes, though she had always been Hell in disguise; only in Amos’s arms did she find both herself and her own paradise.”
She thought she had escaped from her past, that its icy claws could be replaced by the warmth of two gentle hands.
But she was made of frost and blood. It was not the heat of the fire she craved. It was not a gentle love that would satiate the gnawing pangs of her raw hunger.
And fate is not something you can escape, for it’ll always find its way to you.
Wherever you are.
