Ok I updated Amphion’s carrd. Most of the other Daisy Synths still need their pages updated and I want to make a little info page for The Scrapyard, but alas, I’ve been blasted with migraine beam so this will have to do for now

Here is Amphion’s new character summary:

Amphion [Designation C-05] is a C-series experimental synth prototype that was created as part of the Daisy Experiments. After escaping the Institute, he and Cherry founded a settlement for (primarily) synths on Spectacle Island called The Scrapyard. While not all who live in The Scrapyard are raiders, the settlement is largely supported by raiding parties that are organized and led by Amphion and Cherry.

Amphion and Cherry share a mental link between them that allows them to transmit not only information and silent communication, but also instantaneously project any thoughts and sensory input to each other. As such, they are sharing experiences more often than not, thinking and acting as a unit even when physically separated. Despite their different personalities, the line between where one of them ends and the other begins grows ever blurrier.

Cherry and Amphion were originally created to be a team of three with C-06, who they named Zethus, but due to technical issues during their production, they were never fully activated. Perhaps the untraceable data that has been appearing increasingly often in their internal network is a glitch or hallucination— a coincidence. Or perhaps there is something there, something lingering in their system, fighting to piece itself back together.

Apologies for the delay on this. I’ve been reworking and revising Amphion on and off for a couple of years and it wasn’t until I was writing this that I finally figured out what I want to do with him. At which point I took some time to solidify him and then came back to this. So thank you for the ask and giving me the push I needed to finally cobble Amphion together properly lol

I should note for context on these lines that Amphion and Cherry share a “network” between them that allows them to share information as well as what they see, hear, feel, and think with each other at will. As such, they are communicating and sharing senses with each other to some extent more often than not, working together as a unit even when they are not physically together.

Also, Amphion has a deceptively deep, mildly gruff voice.

Amphion Companion Lines:

Use melee: “Waaay ahead of you.”

Use ranged: “Killjoy.”

Open inventory: “230 years of synthetic development and I’m being used as a pack mule.” // “Looking for something?”

Be passive: “*Singsong* If we’re brutally murdered in an ambush that’s on you.”

Be aggressive: “With pleasure.” // “Your wish, our command.”

Wait here: “Whatever.” // (If Amphion has high approval) “If you get yourself killed we’re gonna to kill you.”

Crippled limb: “How about an arm for an arm, asshole?” // “Ow!”

Limbs healed: “And back to work.”

Enemies detected: (If told to be passive) “Would you like to say hi to our new friends?” // (If told to be aggressive) “We call dibs.”

Combat finished: “[Sigh] They’ll never learn.”

Player over-encumbered: “[Amused huff] Have fun with that.” // “We should get those extra supplies back to base when we have the time.”

Idle dialogue: (Bits of assorted out-of-context conversations with Cherry) “[Frustrated noise] Whatever, you win. I don’t even like this game anyway.” // “I’m not the asshole. Bitch.” // “[Hissing through teeth] Youch. He had that coming.”
