AMITY:
Amity was trying to look at the positive side.
Their spell was not a complete disaster. They did exactly what they set out to do, in a way: pulled something out of a book. It wasn’t the thing they intended but they’d still broken reality - invented a door between this world and Percy’s world. What had gone wrong? That was the thought that made Amity’s mind spin in the days that followed.
It was another study session now. Amity booked one of the rooms in the library. All their books were spread out on the table, print-out articles and various notes laid out like a haphazard map. Amity stared at it all, chewing on her lip.
“So what do we know?” she eventually asked when the conversation hit another wall. “Let’s go back to the beginning, right? Write down all the stuff that worked.”
