Since I've mentioned Shugo Chara and Ikuto x Amu like twice this week and once last week now I have to self promote.

I truly miss the times when people weren’t so toxic over pairings or making such a big deal out of every little detail related to the ship only to create more hate and toxicity within the fanbase.

Remember Amu & Ikuto from Shugo Chara? At some point,they were one of the most popular pairings when it comes to anime,and probably the most popular pairing from Shugo Chara despite having quite an age gap,as Amu was 13 and Ikuto was 17. Did this age difference create any problems or toxicity within the fanbase? No,or at least not on the same level as the one SessRin did. Eventhough they pretty much had the same circumstances,Ikuto,met Amu when she was 12,ended up falling for her and the ending leaves us with the key points that in the future they’ll be together (talking about the manga,not the filler anime ending),kind of like,oh wait SessRin had. You all claim that Sesshoumaru is around 18-19 and bullshit on what a “big” age difference there is between them when Sesshoumaru probably fell for her when she was around 15,and then decided to accept her as more than a human that he treasured or a companion,but rather his life partner. Not only that,but Rin was also given a choice as Inuyasha specified at the end of Final act and I will quote him again “so she can decide when the time is right”,and based on Yashahime’s spoilers,she probably decided to go with Sesshoumaru and eventuelly be with him. And that in a story that is located in Japan’s feudal era. 

Now,you would ask,why are people loving one of the pairings so much but hating the other despite their familiar circumtances? Simply because people nowadays can’t live without bitching about something. People create their own views and theories and then bitch when they don’t get what they want,and that has been proven several times through the ending reactions of several popular works such as :Naruto,Bleach,Fairy Tail part 1, Yashahime,Devil is a partimer,where people bitched about things,simply because they didn’t receive the ending or ship that they craved for while pretending to be angry about the “plot”. My advice? Stop with the hypocrisy. If you can go and ship other pairings who also have a significant age difference between eachother (eventhough 4 years is not even a big age gap) ,then you can surely accept SessRin even if it’s not the pairing you love and support from the series. 

Stop claiming that you care about “little girls being groomed” and involving SessRin with it when Rin wasn’t even a little girl when she and Sesshoumaru fell in love with eachother. Rin doesen’t need your protection. If you have that much energy to consume over a fictional piece of work,then how about involving yourself with REAL cases of grooming and r*pe and what not,that would actually save a REAL human being? If you have enough time to waste on the internet,you surely can dedicate that time to helping a real human being.
