Imagining a Modern-Alive!AU where Robin is just this hippie who travels around in an old camper van, is just kind of this cool, wise dude who could probably run a cult if he wanted but actually chooses to help out in community centres and with disadvantaged kids etc - and is also a massive Free Loving dude who gets lucky pretty much every other night. He had a family when he was in his twenties but they died in a horrible tragedy.
Silver (who is Mary's biological daughter) has no dad around and befriends him one night when he finds her practicing her Esbat in the woods and they just sit together, smoking weed and sharing their love of nature and the moon. As Mary's husband died when she was young, he becomes something of a dad to her, as he's in his late forties now (closer to Larry's age). He makes sure she's sensible when smoking pot and gets her home safe. And he's friends with Mary, probably more than that sometimes, but never officially moves in.
And obviously Silver's bffs at school are Kitty and Amy.
Benlie special because uhmm parallel w/ Amy and Lyell. Magic kid falls in love with non-magic person (as far as they are aware. Amy was technically related to a wizard.) Griselda Bone hates both Amy and Benjamin an unnecessary amount. You guys get what I mean.
I know that Paton/Julia is the more popular ship in the series but Amy/Lyell has a more compelling love story, even if most of it is in backstory. I mean, they were so in love that they eloped even though Lyell’s family disapproved of their relationship, and they lived happily together for a few years and then Lyell disappeared and Amy believed he was dead for ten years.
Amy and Lyell’s love story could fill up an entire novel, imo.
The ghosts as Inspirobot quotes
Bonus: My OC
Death swaps👀?
Amy being a young Tudor lady who's parents were involved in a Catholic plot. The guards break in and behead her for her 'involvement'. Humphrey being a modern guy who choked to death on a coffee and adopts the chaotic girl
Silver being a Stuart peasant girl burned at the steak for witchcraft (she used to talk to her pet dog all the time). Mary being a modern day witch who died of an brain aneurysm and slowly teaches Silver white magic to get her over her anxiety
Humphrey: Ugh, my back is killing me
Amy: Why?
Humphrey: Dunno. I probably just slept on it funny last night
Last night:
Remember that chicken meme?
