Might be controversial, but I think the best episode of Beef is episode 7. Amy and Danny are in a ‘good’ space within their lives, the people around them are content, life seems cool and peaceful. But, there’s still holes open and one of holes turns into a f*cking black hole when George invites Danny (Zane) over for his party. Danny finds out about Kayla, he lies to Paul, Paul snitches on Amy to George, Amy loses her family and Danny loses his house. The build up is just spectacular, SO WELL WRITTEN and unpredictable.
My favorite scene is when Amy and Danny have that conversation about their lives and if they feel fulfilled and they’re just so real with one another. They could’ve been great friends. 🥺 🥺 🥺
BONUS - Ending the episode with ‘Somewhere only we know’.... just yeah *chef’s kiss*
