Kind of messed up that Konami worked their ass off to make Fox Engine good enough for MGSV, then literally never made anything else under it than a zombie spin-off everyone ignored and more soccer games.
I think Fox Engine was rather good.
I see this happening quite a lot with proprietary closed-source engines. It just feels like a ton of human effort... well, it didn't exactly go into a black hole, because we got MGSV. But it's so far from optimal exploitation of the labor put into the engine!
