when sansa leaves the godswood and walks right into podrick, her heart stops for a moment.  no, she thinks, panicked.  he’s lord tyrion’s squire.  he’ll tell.  he’ll tell.

“beg pardon my lady,” he says, a hand extending to catch her arm and keep her from falling.  “i didn’t expect to see you here.”  he shuffles his feet and looks down at them.  sansa follows his gaze.  he’s quite tall.  he’s got long legs too.  

“i was praying,” she says, parroting out the same lie she tells them all.  please, she thinks, let ser dontos hear us talking.  let him wait before he leaves.

“of course,” he says, “they’re your gods.  your lord fath--gods.  your lord gods.  your old gods.”  his face is practically purple by the time he’s done speaking.

“yes,” she says gently.  “what are you doing here, podrick?”

“it’s a good place to be alone,” he mumbles. “no one talks to you in the godswood.”

“true enough,” she says quietly.  “well...i’ll keep your secret, if you keep mine.”

he looks up at her and smiles hopefully.  he’s a sweet boy, she thinks.  so unlike ser ilyn...

we should totally find somewhere to swim laps because i miss it and would totally swim with you

most public pools have free swim hours during the day, and I know the one near my house always leaves one of the lanes up for people to swim laps (or at least they did last time I was there during the summer)

3: Do they exercise, and if so, what do they do? How often?

Definitely, and daily - partially because the job requires some good fitness and partially just because it’s fun and she enjoys Donny looking slightly offended when she can bench more than him.

6: Eating habits and sample daily menu?

Pretty consistent and standard grade base-issued food. A lot of powdered stuff since they have to ship it in bulk up from the surface. If they ever get the chance on jobs she likes Chinese.

9: Makeup?

Not much, just occasional foundation and such, and there’s often not time to bother.

12: Favorite book genre?

She’s got a collection of the cheap detective novels and always keeps at least one in her bag.

15: Biggest and smallest short term goal?

In the course of the novel idea? Biggest would be catching up to the people responsible for the bombings, preferably without any fatalities. Smallest...keeping Donny’s stupid chicken off her desk.

18: Favorite beverage?

Italian sodas

21: Turn-ons? Turn-offs?

She’s got a thing for blondes and, like Murphy, will have absolutely nothing to do with white boys. (Or, y’know, boys in general.)

24: Is there one subject of study that they excel at? Or do they even care about intellectual pursuits at all?

She was good with psychology, which is why she ended up the head negotiator. She did enjoy college, but the police work was a lot more fun.

27: What is their biggest regret?

I don’t know if it’s the biggest, but she’s got some issues about Donny having to kill that bomber; she still thinks she could’ve talked the guy down if they’d focused on him first instead of his partner.

30: Reaction to sudden intrapersonal disaster (eg close family member suddenly dies)

Despite knowing it’s a bad idea, she tends to sort of ignore it for a while and put a lot more effort into work and gets really intense in the gym. It takes a couple weeks for things to build up too much and any actual grief to show.

33: Concept of home and family?

She’s got a decent-sized biological family - parents and a couple siblings and their kids and everything. Family gatherings are a yearly thing and she always enjoys them. The team’s her second family, though, and she’s as equally protective of them.

36: What makes them feel guilty?

Failed negotiations. Even if the guy was too far gone, she’s still convinced she should’ve been able to do something.

39: Would you say that they have a superiority-complex? Inferiority-complex? Neither?

Depends on the day and the situation. She’s usually pretty well balanced, but occasionally she’ll beat Donny at something trivial will boost the ego or something going wrong on a call will give it a hit.

42: How far did they get in formal education? What are their views on formal education vs self-education?

She did a couple years of college in the psychology department before going full time with the police. 

45: Do they express their thoughts through words or deeds?

More with deeds; she’ll give food as peace offerings and take on a bit of someone else’s paperwork as thanks.

48: If this person were to get into a fist fight, what is their fighting style like?

An odd mixture of really quick movements (habit from the Kali training) and brute force because most people don’t expect it from her.

ok well if I wrote this, I’d want to wait until after season 2 is over so that I can have them watching the rest of the drama like spectators and throwing popcorn at the screen
