Anarkey - Land of The Heathens
The artists known as Anarkey has not lost his edge in regards to his ties with the city since leaving London and his ability to present thought provoking and hard hitting bars is still on point . I have watched the rapper grow over the last year or so and his latest project is one for the playlist . The mixtape entitled "Land of The Heathens" reminds me of the early / mid 90s era of hip hop , as he delivers , this well known tone and utilises the gritty sounds of boom bap . There are political elements as well as his perceptions of both the past and present . I've thoroughly enjoyed this tape and will be hitting the roads with this one . Go and grab your copy ASAP . If you support genuine artists who are about the craft , then do not be afraid to make a visit Download Land of The Heathens http://www.mediafire.com/?puvhujl5f8gku93 Keep up to date with Anarkey https://www.facebook.com/PlanetPerceus
You say you want a revolution Well you know We'd all want to change the world You tell me that it's evolution Well you know We'd all want to change the world But when you talk about destruction Don't you know that you can count me out Don't you know it's gonna be alright [x3] You say you got a real solution Well you know We'd all want to see the plan You ask me for a contribution Well you know We're all doing what we can But if you want money for people with minds that hate All I can tell you is brother you'll have to wait Don't you know it's gonna be alright [x4] You say you'll change the constitution Well you know We'd all love to change your head You tell me it's the institution Well you know You better free your mind instead But if you go carrying pictures of Chairman Mao You ain't going to make it with anyone anyhow Don't you know know it's gonna be alright [x3] Alright [x7]
Gretch's AnarKey #1
By far, this has been the most objective and concise explanation of anarchy by a contemporary.
Anarchy means having a dream about a society with total freedom for everybody, and a respect for that freedom, where nobody has power over others. It means abolishing private property and money, it means work through cooperatives, without bosses, it means no nations, no borders, free association and equal opportunities for everyone to satisfy all their needs. Yeah, it seems utopical, but it has worked before and I’m sure it can work again.
In complete agreement as I may be, I find myself putting up intelligent anarchic arguments against reality, which is, the global system by which we all live with today. What you will find below are simply thoughts swimming inside my small-fry mind. While some might read as arguments against true anarchy, these are meant to invite more knowledge, wisdom and opinion.
1. The world, including its inhabitants, belong in a cycle. While utopia/anarchy was once had, it naturally progressed to barter, exchange, guilds, trade and eventually, structured global economics. Followed by great depressions, and eventually, back to utopia/anarchy. And perhaps, we are one generation closer to coming full circle. Remember that at any stage of this cycle is a full century or more.
2. Like love and death, the right and the truth takes time to be understood. How do we use the current system to educate, or at the very least, create awareness without hate, violence for which anarchy has already been wrongly associated with?
3. Is the current system so vile, that there is no ounce of correctness in it?
4. Is real anarchy so perfect, that there is no ounce of flaw in it?
5. No two minds are created equal. Even within the realm of true anarchy.
6. At what expense do we tolerate those minds that need more time to fully comprehend anarchy?
7. What is the expense of intolerance?
Questions breed more questions that may or may not lead us closer to the truth. However, thinking is a hobby we should all get into, for or against anarchy.
Cheers.
