                   when  she  first  considered  using  ivf  to  try  to  get  pregnant  ,  she  didn’t  think  it  would  ever  work  as  well  for  her  as  it  has.  sure  ,  she’s  been  optimistic  about  the  results  but  as  a  doctor  ,  she  knows  that  the  chances  of  it  actually  working  haven’t  been  the  best  (  especially  given  her  medical  history.  )  of  course  she’s  always  hoped  ,  always  dreamed  &.  yet  a  part  of  her  has  had  to  stay  realistic  ;  mentally  prepare  herself  in  case  anything  goes  wrong.  so  far  so  good  ,  though  ,  everything  seems  to  be  going  according  to  plan  &.  she’s  excited  about  soon  potentially  being  able  to  find  out  the  genders  of  her  babies.

                  currently  waiting  in  the  hospital  where  she  has  another  checkup  ,  she  suddenly  looks  up  from  her  magazine  to  see  a  familiar  figure  sit  down  in  one  of  the  chairs  opposite  of  her.  while  she  looks  older  than  the  last  time  she’s  seen  her  ━  almost  five  years  ago  ━  she’s  still  very  much  recognizable.  question  is  ,  what  is  she  doing  here  in  san  diego  ?  last  izzie  has  heard  ,  she’s  still  thriving  at  seattle  grace.  [  grey  sloan  ,  she  reminds  herself  ;  it’s  still  difficult  to  get  used  to  the  hospital’s  new  name.  ]

                   MEREDITH WAS certainly not wrong. She had no idea why she thought drinking so much alcohol was a good idea, but, after the week they'd all had, anything was a good idea. " I have..no idea. But it tastes good." Maggie spoke with a hiccup as she looked in her sisters direction. Probably wasn't the best thing to mix the alcohol either but it seemed like a good idea to BEGIN WITH. @anatomymd

there's a thrill that shoots up her spine at their clandestine affairs — women both scorched by the venoms of the same man ; the same indecision that fractured what's left of their hearts. there is an undeniable force of sadness that looms within satan's chest. she, the woman hurt by him... hurt by her is the very epitome of angelic : yet, she's been tarnished, singed by satan's hellfire.

she shouldn't kiss her. not like this.

but meredith's soft despite the rough edges she displays. meredith tastes like coffee in the morning — and meredith... she makes addison laugh. her cerulean eyes glassy as she looks at the blonde, her fingers tangling in her blonde tresses and she could only marvel at her with softened eyes.

❝    i ... we — we're okay... right?    ❞    she's still questioning the morality of this all : how do you speak to a woman whose barely survived a drowning? how do you speak to a woman who you've come to care more about than you would've ever allowed yourself to care for?

❝    i'm not derek... i can't promise i won't hurt you but i'll do everything i can to not.    ❞     her mouth is running on its own and she's no longer thinking clear — it must be the alcohol... it has to be.

a  half-hearted  chuckle  escapes  arizona’s  mouth.   ‘  tired  parents?  ‘   there’s  a  weak  smile  to   match  the  chuckle  as  she  looks  at  meredith.   one  of  doctor  grey’s  famous   pep  talks  ....    but,  she  wasn’t  feeling  very  peppy  right  now.   ‘  i  don’t  know.  there’s  just  days  when  none  of  it  feels  worth  it,  you  know?   i  think  today  is  one  of  those  days.  ‘   a  beat.   ‘   i’m  sorry  for  being  such  a  buzzkill.  they’re  gonna  start  calling  me  dark  and  twisty  now.  ‘

april stared blankly at her notebook, the name of one hospital still left legible within it, the lines above and below filled with the scribbles that had gone over the letters that had once been written beneath them. cleveland clinic was still prominent, even if the phonecall she’d just received told her that she was certainly not going to be a surgeon there either. since failing her boards, it had been one call after another, telling her thanks, but no thanks. she understood it - that didn’t mean she had to like it though. “well, that’s me done.” she commented, pen scribbling over the letters before tossing the notebook to one side. out of sight, out of mind, right? she could only hope. “have you decided where you’re going yet? boston still a contender?” she could distract herself with the success of others, or so she liked to tell herself. || @anatomymd​
