The Sword of St Nehellenia
The Lady Nehellenia of the Aedred Island, sister of the Archqueen Consort Nehendra, led a violent rebellion against the Archking and His annexation of her Island home… Though she was unsuccesful, her relationship to the Archqueen Consort spared her from a swift execution.
Decades later, in an attempt to subdue a second rebellion on the Island, the Lirran Church of the River Realms would claim she had been a holy warrior who fought not for the freedom of the Aedred Island, but for the faith of the mainland River Realms, and canonised her as a Saint, claiming that she had become a Sister Votary in the newly constructed grand temple to Lir on the Aedred Island.
In reality, Nehellian had chosen to live in exile, throwing her famous Brightbrass blade into the sea before disappearing. Rumours abound about her fate, most commonly it is said that she became a powerful Pirate Queen in the faraway lands of the Dragons Teeth…
To this day many treasure hunters search the waters around the Aedred Island in hopes of finding her famous sword…
