The first half of my @brecks_bulbs order came yesterday, and I got out into the garden today to plant. When I ordered them all I was certain about where to put each plant, but I've since realized my original plan for the hollyhocks wouldn't give them nearly enough sun. But they're so tall that they'd be problematic in the sunniest part of my yard (at the bottom of the driveway, where visibility is important). I've placed them alongside the #BlackIsBlackIris in my front yard, and am crossing my fingers. Similarly, I'm worried the spot I chose for my #anchusa is actually shade to part sun, not sun to part shade. But we shall see. I am, however, reasonably confident about the 6 #astilbe I just planted. As you may have picked up by now, my yard and gardens are quite shady. And that's great for astilbe! Plus, of everything I planted today, I was able to find the clearest planting instructions for them.
