"Losing Optimism" Much like how our world is shaped, optimism works in the same manner; when you have too much of one thing imbalance and chaos emerges. How to stay optimistic during tough times? Have the audacity to NOT be like the people who are always pessimistic. Those people have a negative outlook on life that their only way to continue living is to feed more negativity into their immediate world. When you are around those people, get out of their way and STAY out of their way. Don’t go near them, don’t even speak to them because if they’re pessimism is extremely tenacious you may start to feel that, “you know what optimism ain’t worth it!’ Now we all wish those people would not exist, truth is they are here and it’s their own journey to grow or fail to move forward with. You my friend, you are different for you have asked the question of One Love - the notion of community and world presence. Without love for community and self this world would literally crumble. I invite you to become a beacon, a shining example of optimism to bring about a space and energy for others to also become optimistic. The short end of the answer is, you have to START being optimistic and retrain your brain to BREATHE optimism no matter how bad things get there will always be someone else in a much worse situation. Unless your day to day situation revolves around, “How am I going to eat today I have no money at all” or “If I walk down this street i’ll have a 50% less change of being targeted by a gang” then you really don’t have anything to be pessimistic about friend. Stay positive, stay strong and KEEP BEING OPTIMISTIC.
