"As A Teacher, How Do You Motivate Yourself?" - Sarala K. As a teacher, your life’s task is to embolden and help shape the futures of others. Energy, patience and belief in your mission is what keeps one motivated. The external rewards pale in comparison to the gifts of wisdom and self-awareness you build in your students, doesn’t matter what field or industry you’re in. Teach so that others have the power The acknowledgement that a few words, a book, a video have changed someone’s life for the better is what keeps you going. The bigger picture is creating a positive change in the world so that our world community has a stronger foundation to grow with. It can’t be about only the monetization, that’s certainly a good part of it don’t get me wrong, it has to be the value or benefits you give others first. What you give is what you get People are looking for help, they’re seeking mentorship and guidance in every aspect of their lives (school, career, relationships, exercise, nutrition etc). The mentor and apprenticeship roles have been around for centuries, but there’s been a switch from the “old school” to the “new school” so to speak - it’s even more imperative in today’s global reach that people have the right counsel, mentors and teachers to lead them in the right direction. It’s up to YOU to make a change What does the future have for teachers and students? Think of it this way, what would our world look like if we didn’t have enthusiastic, compassionate and wise teachers -through their own life experiences, defeats and victories give purpose and direction for others? How do I stay motivated to infuse my students and clients with knowledge, strength, passion and a willingness to create change? By committing to be a life long learner and not allowing my ego to cast a shadow over my mission and core values.
