Old Joppa, Israel, on the outskirts of Tel-Aviv is mentioned many times in the Bible, as this is where Simon the Tanner lived, Peter performed miracles, Jonah fled from God & the wood for the Temple of Solomon arrived in its port.

This is believed to be the spot, under the foundations of this house, where Simon the Tanner lived & Peter resided with him. ”Send to Joppa for Simon who is called Peter. He is a guest in the home of Simon the tanner, who lives by the sea.” Acts 10:32
