The book cover (left) looks so silly that I decided to make one for Nightshade. They look equally silly.

The morphing process is generated with https://animorphgenerator.com/. It actually works really well! I think it doesn't work well in my case because Owlshade's feathers are too irregular.

I've been re-reading some Jim Kjelgaard books and longing for the days when YA was exclusively made up of books about an adolescent (and their animal) in a survival situation. Or about sentient animals in their own world and/or society.
