listen listen hear me out. sam completely stopping what he’s doing and leveling his brother with a very serious gaze when dean makes his borderline-homophobic comments. sam gently but pointedly explaining to dean that he can’t say things like that anymore, that he doesn’t know who might hear it and be really hurt by it. sam reminding his big brother that it’s okay to love who you love, that he needs to think of people like charlie, and to watch the things he says. sam explaining what a microaggression means. this goes on for half an hour until dean can’t take it anymore and blurts out, “son of a bitch, sammy, i like dudes!” and sam’s mouth just drops open into a perfect ‘o’.
