she stares at the table of papers and books in front of her, phone pressed to her ear by her shoulder as she sorts through them, listening to the man on the other end of the line.  what he says makes her pause and go silent.  “ i’m sorry..yes, i am — but... ”  another pause while she flips through a small book in front of her quickly, stopping on a specific page and holding her place there.  “ did you say angels?  as in, wings...god...heaven, all that biblical stuff? ”
