See? It's posted... not entirely late! Baby steps. I'm so glad the last 5 were fairly easy, because I did them in 1 sitting the day of to get them done in time. While very, very hot. Did I mention the heat? Anyway! It's a very normal and quite cute week for Monster March.
Now, I'll admit that this one barely made the list with all the other fantasy and monster additions. But, I don't have nearly enough bug representation. And bugs are cool! When they're... far far away from me, preferably behind a screen. But a big glowy stingy bug? That's pretty cool
79. Three Frogs and a Toad
One of these things is not like the other... and maybe if you can't read, it would be a surprise. But also, I have no restraint. It's World Frog Day, and obviously I wanted to do a poison dart frog. Problem was... I couldn't actually choose a single one. And then I also found a picture of a Harlequin toad on my phone, and it was all over. Worst part is? This is only the first time I did a quartet.
The Cabin in the Woods was one of the first horror movies that I actually willingly watched. And the reasoning should be pretty obvious... Cool creatures! I remember drawing the giant cobra as a kid as one of the first times I actually drew all the scales on a snake. And that elevator scene... But yes, the dragonbat was my favorite. And I called it Bella because I always loved horrific creatures with cute names.
81. Mediterranean Monk Seal
Seal! Seals are such a blessing for this project... So easy to color, so cute. And the monk seal is a special one, my favorite from Endless Ocean! Just so cute, and equally so in real life, so it was my first choice for International Seal Day. Solid seal right there, we love.
82. American Black (Cinnamon) Bear
For World Bear Day, I switched between a few different bears. I thought about grizzlies, and regular black bears, and then... I found a picture of a 'cinnamon' black bear. Bro. The blondie of black bears?? Love. Instantly. I put that on the list so fast. She looks a lil wonky right now, but trust. Cutest bear I've ever seen.
And this bear is less cute... but also still pretty cute? I remember playing a mod with this in Skyrim, and it was the absolute bane of my existence. But it's such a fun, funky design. This is what I want in fantasy! Weird insect bear with a shield crest and tusks! And somehow, just a babey.
Manatee Appreciation Day! I appreciate Mama Cortica, that's for sure. She's got a fancy white chest patch, she's got a lovely moss coat. Once again, I love the Legendaries in Endless Ocean, and I'll take any excuse to add them to my list. I also appreciate how easy this was to finish. That too. But also because cute!
Week 12 was blessedly easy to get done, and hopefully I can start getting ahead soon! Hopefully. Likely? No. But hopefully.
