So @the-gayest-show had a pretty great theory about the wishing well:
I think it makes a lot of sense! Of course, it's not entirely certain that the wishing spell is what caused Lorelei's death but I think it probably is!
Now this theory got me thinking...and I think wish-granting magic in general is the most potent form of magic in this universe?
The first reason I have for thinking this is this theory, of course.
Second reason: Genies also have wish-granting magic, and it's stated that only the genie who grants a wish can undo that wish. In a universe where generally every spell seems to have a counter-spell, that's quite unusual.
And the third reason is Tizzy's spell in The Birthday Wish! Tizzy grants Sofia's wish, but cannot undo it, so Sofia has to undo it herself by fulfilling the requirements for breaking the spell.
There's also King Roland's wish in The Baker King, which seems to entirely change reality! That's some pretty strong magic.
Just an observation, and I think it makes a lot of sense for a Disney Princess show to do this.
The reason this could be is because one thinks of a wish as being something that comes from the heart. @shychick-52 has a theory that magic in this universe comes from the heart, and @reverseenchancia suggested something similar for how the Amulet of Avalor's powers work. So it would make sense that wish magic, something that (generally) fulfills what the heart desires, would be so strong.
