--- The bell has ears twitching once more, like a predator on alert to surroundings, the pitch only something she can hear in this confined space. Soon enough voice is gracing ears and sounding closer, breath a ghostly whisper upon neck and that same bell is ringing again, warm tendrils of air curling over pale skin like inky tendrils. It tickles like magick, though she feels none. Both tails twitch and swish behind her in a display of curiosity and agitation and the haze she uses to mask them is swept away the moment he seats himself in chair before her.
--- Expectedly he is...young. Beautiful to look at, seductive and alluring in all the right ways to draw you in. A coy smile pulls upon lips until fangs are peeking out in vague amusements. ' Offerings? That does feel only natural. I suppose I should he on my knees as any supplicant to one praying? ' a slightly derisive snort, before lips purse and she takes a step closer. The moment she does, the atmosphere changes.
--- The aura he exudes is...heavy. Oppressive and strong and thick with a power she had never felt before. With age and something akin to familiarity. ' You... ' a quiet, shallow breath. ' You...are a kitsune? ' It's hesitant, if only because he doesn't feel like her, not entirely, and eyes narrow into vulpine slits, pupils thin. ' I am old, by mortal standards. ' a quiet scoff...before nose twitches to the air. ' Though you... ' a chuckle, a smirk. ' Smell like...well... ' a playful shrug.
Obikin!AU where Anakin and Obi-wan are both Qui-gonns padawans.
Around 2.8k words. And Basically just an idea, or something. If you like obikin without the age difference this is for you :)
You’ll find it under the cut 👍
Its started with Qui-gon going on a mission on his own, that lead him to Tatooine. Its nothing special just some form of “Jedi-checkup”. He had for a long time considered taking a padawan and thought that maybe when he got back to the temple after the mission, it would be the right time to choose one.
Qui-gon instead discovered 10-year-old Anakin and thought “this is clearly a sign from the force (which it might be)” so he took Anakin as his padawan, as he does in the movie. But! On their way home, they have to make a quick stop on Bandomeer because something is wrong with the engine or the hyperdrive, who knows?
Anakin goes to explore because there are trees, flowers and waterfalls and Anakin has never seen that before. Qui-gon tells Anakin not to go to far away, but it’s Anakin, obviously something is not going to go as planned.
As Anakin keeps being amazed about all the things he is seeing, he walks further into the forest and first stops to look around, when he hears someone crying. Or rather feel it, but Anakin has no control over the force and therefore doesn’t realize he is feeling the sadness before he discovers another boy sitting, leaning up against a tree hiding his face, crying. Obi-wan who has just turned 9 years old, has hurt his knees and have no idea what to do. He doesn’t have a creche master he can ask. And the grown ups from the AgriCorps don’t care if you trip and hurt your knees.
Anakin ends up caring Obi-wan on his back, because Obi-wans knees did hurt a lot.
And Qui-gon, who has been worried sick, because Anakin just disappeared doesn’t have it in him to become angry when he sees that Anakin has brought a younger boy with him.
It takes Qui-gon two seconds to feel that Obi-wan is almost as strong as Anakin is in the force, and he curses himself, for not finding Obi-wan at the creche before he was sent off.
Its Qui-gon who finds the band-aids for Obi-wans knees. While he cleans the light wounds, he assures Obi-wan he is in safe hands and will be back at the temple and trained. Then Anakin and Obi-wan are send to sit and wait for take-off. When Qui-gon joins them after they’ve safely entered hyperspace, he finds the two boys asleep. Obi-wan resting his head on Anakin’s shoulders, who has an arm around Obi-wan.
Qui-gon brings both Obi-wan and Anakin before the council, saying that both boys need training and he is willing to take one of them. As a joke he says he’ll take the both of them if no one has time.
And that’s pretty much how it happens. Because there is really no one else. And Qui-gon doesn’t mind, already somehow sensing the two boys probably would be hard to separate.
The two boys grew up together, forming a bond that is stronger than most masters-padawans bonds are. They felt the difference themselves, both having a bond with Qui-gon. It did take them longer to find the one between the two of them. But once they found it, they are never far apart from each other. Of course, they both relied on Qui-gon but as it turns out Anakin was really good at the lightsaber fighting, or any form of fighting or self-defense, Obi-wan started to lean on him, due to Obi-wan not being as quick to get the hang of it. Just as Anakin can’t meditate if Obi-wan isn’t right next to him. Sometimes Anakin has to hold onto Obi-wan physically not just in force to be able to just sit still for more than 10 seconds. Qui-gon shits on the Jedi-code, saying that if it is attachment, it has only made the two stronger. They have become almost one by the time they are 18 and 19.
They have always shared quarters, as in the same room, because no Jedi has had two padawans before, so there are no living spaces with three bedrooms. They don’t mind. Even though there had been brought them a second bed, they ended up sharing one. It started when Anakin was around 13 and started having nightmares. Obi-wan would be woken by Anakin’s yell and without a sound or comment craw into Anakin’s bed and hug him till he felt better. This was how they both subconsciously also realized just how touch starved Obi-wan was. Is. He still needs Anakin’s hugs and Qui-gon pats on his back and shoulder. It’s not something they talk about. Anakin has tried, but all Obi-wan said was, he knew it was wrong and he shouldn’t want it, but there was nothing they could do about it now.
They tried to sleep in two different beds, when Anakin turned 16. They both knew they were too old to share a bed. But Obi-wan hadn’t been able to fall asleep (and might have cried a bit, but if he did, he never told anyone, he was 15 for force sakes, he should be able to sleep on his own). Anakin had a nightmare that night, for the first time in years, so Obi-wan returned to Anakin’s bed like he has for so long, and they hugged each other as tight as they could while still being able to breathe.
At 19 Anakin is very popular. Of course, he is. He is tall, attractive, good with a lightsaber and a smart comment. Daring, adventures. Almost every padawan has a crush on the soon to be knighted Anakin Skywalker. That includes Obi-wan. The only difference is that, Anakin likes Obi-wan as well. They have established that, after sharing a bed almost all of their lives.
Anakin had, of course, confessed first, not being able to hide a thing like that in the longer run. Anakin had actually been in the middle of a long speech about why he liked Obi-wan, when Obi-wan had kissed him, told him he loved him and asked if he could please shut up now, because things were beginning to be really embarrassingly cheesy. After that they almost saw each other as married, even though they were only 16 and 17 when Anakin decided to put his heart on the line. They knew Jedi aren’t allowed to get married, or even have something close to whatever they have, but they don’t care. They’re careful. No one will ever know. Or so they think, until one day Qui-gon says he has always been glad the two of them are close, but could they please keep it down when they want to enjoy themselves. And something about Anakin should probably learn to shield a little better.
Anakin had been so embarrassed he had laughed because he didn’t know what else to do. Obi-wan had spend the rest of that day apologizing to Qui-gon, saying it would never happen again. Qui-gon said he was happy the two of them finally stopped just starring at each other and actually did something. He also promised to keep it a secret. Qui-gon already gave less than two shits about the Jedi code. He had raised the two boys, and known they’d probably been in love with each other since they were 12 years old. He could sense it in the force. The two of them was almost one, from the moment Anakin had brought Obi-wan with him on his back, that day on Bandomeer. That was why Qui-gon had agreed so fast to take Obi-wan with them. The two boys were destined to be together.
When Anakin turned 21, he was Knighted. Obi-wan had yet to turn 20 and Qui-gon had decided he would bring him on one last mission, then he would be knighted. To a lot of people’s surprise Anakin had been the one, that was mad about the fact him and Obi-wan wasn’t knighted at the same time. Qui-gon had had a three-hour long conversation with Obi-wan about why he had made the decisions he had. But Obi-wan had been understanding throughout the whole thing. He knew that Anakin was ready and needed to get out there on his own. That Anakin learned best by being in the situation and under pressure. Obi-wan still needed a bit of time. Plus, he liked going with Qui-gonn on missions.
On the night of Anakin’s knighting most of the padawans had left to go out. Coruscant had a lot of clubs, both upper- and lower level. And all types of them as well, so everyone would find something they like. Anakin had partied for a while before noticing Obi-wan wasn’t there. Anakin wasn’t actually drunk really, due to the fact he honestly didn’t really care for the party just the knighting, so when he realized Obi-wan wasn’t there, he left. He knew Obi-wan hated parties, so he figured he had gone back to their quarters.
Anakin did find Obi-wan. He was waiting for him in their living room. Wearing one of Anakin’s robes. Qui-gon had left a couple hours ago, he said he would probably stay in one of the other many rooms at the Temple. Obi-wan had blushed, then he had stepped closer to Anakin, kissing him quickly before letting the robe fall to the floor. He was naked underneath and Anakin thought he might pass out from all the blood leaving his body going directly to one place.
“What’s all this for?” Anakin asked, his hand travelling down Obi-wans backside, pulling him in for a longer kiss. Obi-wan put his arms around Anakin’s neck.
“Congratulations on your knighting hood, Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker” Obi-wan said lowly and before they knew it, Anakin was carrying Obi-wan into their bedroom to celebrate Anakin’s knighting in the absolute best way possible, if you ask Anakin. From then on, Anakin would leave a robe or two of his on Obi-wans bedside. Obi-wan first used them whenever he wanted Skywalker, but as Anakin left for missions, Obi-wan started using them to sleep, since he didn’t have the actual Anakin to hold him anymore.
It took a little longer for Obi-wan to be knighted. He always blamed himself for not being ready, he had become attached to Anakin. Of course, he had, that was to be expected, but Obi-wan was almost as attached to Qui-gon. Both of those things were against the code. But Qui-gon was like a father to him, and Obi-wan hadn’t had that parent figure or love when he was little, so he craved it now. Like the touch. Even though he was soon 20 years old, and by far the best of the padawans at meditation and control of his feelings. He was still just a kid.
That was the main reason why Qui-gon didn’t want to let go of Obi-wan yet. But god, he wished he had.
They went on the faithful mission to Naboo. Obi-wan had to watch his master die right before his eyes, without being able to do anything. He didn’t care he became the first Jedi to kill a Sith in a millennium. He didn’t care if it was brutal. He wouldn’t have cared either if he had been the one that had died. Because having to hold his dying master was the worst thing Obi-wan had ever experienced.
“Take care of him. Take care of Anakin” Had been his last words. “Keep him in the light. Only you can do that.” Qui-gon had brushed a hand against Obi-wans cheek, then he had felt in the force how Qui-gon had slipped away. He screamed. An empty space filled his chest, and in a moment all Obi-wan wanted was for Anakin to appear and take him away from all of this. But Anakin was on the other side of the galaxy. He was long gone, and a sudden fear Obi-wan would loose him too overpowered everything. It had been some troopers, that had to make Obi-wan let go of Qui-gon. Obi-wan doesn’t remember how he made it back to the temple. He doesn’t remember how he got from the dock to the halls of healing. He only remembers crying for far too long. Then he was silent. Sitting in a hospital bed, even though his bruises were minimal. They still kept him there. He didn’t eat. He didn’t sleep much either. Every now and then he would dry away a single tear or two. He didn’t say anything for a week.
When Anakin returned, he had been sent before to council, to be told the sad news. His master had died on his last mission. Anakin nodded. He had felt it. Even though he was far away when it happened, he had still felt it in the force. The small bond he still had maintained with Qui-gon had slipped away. He had also felt Obi-wan. Felt his hurt, his sorrow. But he didn’t tell the council that. It was also the council had also informed him, where Obi-wan was and his current state, so Anakin wouldn’t be too shocked, once he found him.
Anakin stands in the door, looking at the silent Obi-wan. Anakin wasn’t sure if Obi-wan could feel him. He walks slowly over to the bedside and sat down next to Obi-wan on the bed. He took his hand.
“I just spoke the council,” Anakin said quietly. “They told me what happened on Naboo and I just wanted to check on you. They said you haven’t been feeling so good-”. Something clicked behind Obi-wans eyes and finally looked at Anakin instead of his empty stare on the wall across from him. Anakin didn’t dare say anymore, wanting Obi-wan to take his time, he knew, Obi-wan had been closer to Qui-gon than he had himself. He had always enjoyed Qui-gons training, but all the emotional closeness and help he needed, Anakin got from Obi-wan. Obi-wan it had been an almost 50/50 between Anakin and Qui-gon. Both of them had given him different forms of comfort, both forms he needed. And he had had to watch his master die, their master die…
“I’m sorry Anakin” Obi-wan whispered. “I’m so sorry”. Obi-wan broke down. That was the only way to say it. Anakin thanked the force for his fast reflexes as he managed to climb all the way up on the bed and hold Obi-wan as he sobbed into his chest.
“I’m sorry, I’m really sorry, I should have been faster, I know I should, it’s all my fault, I’m so sorry Anakin. I-“ Obi-wan mumbled it all into Anakin’s chest between the sobs he let out. Anakin’s grip around Obi-wan became tighter.
“Obi, I need you to listen very carefully to me, okay?” Anakin slowly lifted Obi-wans head so he could make eye contact with him. Obi-wans eyes were red and his cheeks were puffy. Anakin could feel his hurt through the force, and Anakin also felt how he himself broke a little, by seeing Obi-wan so utter lost.
“It wasn’t your fault” He whispered. Obi-wan shook his head.
“But it was, it was my fault- “
“No, Obi, it wasn’t, it could never be your fault, you understand. What happened, had nothing to do with you. You did all you could. It wasn’t your fault” Anakin tried not to cry while saying this. Wanting to stay strong for Obi-wan, who hid his face in Anakin’s chest again.
Anakin gets Obi-wan to move back into their shared quarters instead of staying at the halls of healing. With a lot of meditation and Anakin’s constant reassurance it wasn’t Obi-wans fault, Obi-wan finds his way back to a place where he can somewhat function. The loss of Qui-gon resurfaces when it comes to Obi-wans knighting. Because he started doing so much better the council has decided he is to be knighted soon. And since he has no master anymore, he is supposed to cut his own braid. That detail left Obi-wan feeling let down and useless. Like no one else wanted to or could step in.
Anakin spend about 2 hours passive aggressively yelling at the council, he thought it was the worst idea they have come up with in a long time. and that they should at least let Anakin cut the braid.
“No padawan has ever cut their own braid. Obi-wan isn’t going to be the first exception!” and with that comment the council really couldn’t argue against the angry Skywalker. Anakin cut Obi-wans braid. They had celebrated in the same manner as they did, when Anakin was knighted, but this time they also took some time to leave flowers at Qui-gons “grave”.
“How do you feel?” Anakin had asked Obi-wan.
“Alright.” He had answered with a smile and unshed tears in his eyes. Anakin had kissed the tears away and their adventures as Jedi knights could officially begin.
You know what? Before episode 3 and 4 of season 8, I could really accept all leaks about Jaime going back to Cersei. As Braime shipper I was obviously feeling heartbroken, but I could really be okay with that.
After all one constant trail about Jaime is that he really cares about his close family. Season after season we saw him doing things not only for Cersei, but also for Tyrion, his father and children. So I thought: Well it’s understandable that he will try to save Cersei. Even with how toxic their relationship is and with all terrible things she did, she is still his twin sister, who is about to be burn alive by Targaryen.
BBBBBBBUUUUUUUTTTTTTTT
After these two episodes I don’t even know what to say. Mostly I’m angry what they did with Jaime development and Braime.I think I would prefer that Braime didn’t become canon, cause right now it’s terrible for Brienne. I mean we get all these seasons with her being such strong and great character, who seems don’t really trust that someone could truly love her, because of what she endured when she was a girl. As seasons goes she is slowly opening up to the world and seems happy. Then 8x03 happens. And it would be fine if not for that last scene. I mean really, REALLY? They just slapped Brienne with suggesting of being worse than Cersei and being used. And that really hurts me, because Brienne deserves happiness.
Oh and don’t get me started about 8x04 and Jaime’s “I don’t care about innocents” bullshit and about all his “thrown out of tower” character development.
Asked by @rius-cave, thank you!
It’s nothing special to be honest :’)
Also so many mistakes! It’s much easier to write, since I can at least see and correct them. Well, usually ^^;
