I don't know why time happening to me feels so vulnerable, but I think of the man I loved when I was 19 and last saw when I was 25 and wonder what he would see in my face now and feel exposed.

Ladies and gentlefolk, if you'll excuse the interruption, today's 11 pm crashout about Things That Have Not Happened And Will Not Happen For At Least Another Few Years If At All has been bumped up to 2:52 pm due to scheduling conflicts. Any and all hysterical crying you hear is completely normal even though it is really not the time for it. All systems should be running as usual within the next 24 hours. Thank you!
A person close to me who is dying made this. The graphite shadow is his exact height, the patched together scraps of cloth were gathered from bits of his only child's laundry. He told me that its supposed to be like when winter comes and you try to sleep in the cold, but all you have is your small summer blanket. There is simply not enough to account for whats lacking. All you can do is suffer the chill. His 14yr old child is still too small to be able to hold all that his death is, but he's going to die soon regardless. I was like "Holy Shit Dude. Fuck".
My childhood best friend died recently (she died a few months ago, but her obituary was just shared). It's a very strange feeling. We mostly grew apart around 5th grade, and by high school we ran in completely different circles, but from kindergarten to 4th grade she and I were constantly together. Some of my earliest memories are of being around her. My first sleepover, my first time staying up past midnight, my first time having foods like paella and guava paste. I remember watching Jumanji together and being terrified, I remember her list of nicknames ("Sasha, Sushi, Sashimi, Victoria or Old Lady"), the layout of her house, asking her to sing Sk8er Boi to me on the bus because we were too young to have iPods yet. She was prodigiously talented in both vocals and piano, and the memory of her singing "Somewhere Over The Rainbow" in middle school stays with me as well. And yet, I can't say I'm sad. It's been almost 20 years since we were friends, maybe 15 since we last saw each other. She's as much a stranger to me as anyone else, except that a ghost of her has a permanent place in my memories.

i h/c a mighty need
like
i just want a million scenes with clint barton being in a hospital bed, and coulson either being there or not being there.
and, either way, clint wanting coulson to be there, but not knowing how to DEAL with that. because he’s used to being in the hospital, but now there’s this GUY who wants to take care of him (????) and maybe clint realizes he wants coulson to be there--to take care of him--and then coulson ISN’T THERE. (because probably he is in the hallway talk-yelling at everyone in his dad voice, but clint is still ALOOOOOONE).
or coulson IS there, and he like--reaches for clint’s hand? but clint has an IV needle all up in there and also DUDE HOLDING HANDS (????) but he Does Want and so then idk they blush at each other and clint’s heart monitor goes “GIT IT CLINT”
like one million words of that, okay?
