Their talk about Henry is so multilayered. Apart from the uncle thing, it also shows how truly broken they were when she first came back and how little did they communicate.
So Ziva told Tali that Henry is not her real uncle on the same day that she told Henry she’s not fucking hinting. And Tony looked embarrassed but didn’t question why. The next day, Henry’s birthday, she told Henry she’s not Tali’s real uncle. Same day when Tony signed that Interpol contract he didn’t mention to Ziva.
And then, when Ziva continued to not like Henry, Tony didn’t try to solve it. Like wouldn’t you want to know why your future spouse didn’t like your best friend? You’d want to get to the bottom of it. This shows complete lack of communication. Past Tony would’ve pushed her until she admitted, that Tony is scared she runs away if he pushes her too hard.
We just get more and more with each snipped and they add up to much bigger picture. Amazing writing.
