Julian Dillinger was such a well-defined villain in Ares.

His actions spell out crystal clear he fully thinks AI are meant to do mankind's jobs for us. He trains an AI by killing it over and over until its one of the most advanced programs in history, and when it asks who it is, he tells Ares he's not a person, but a thing to do what he wants.

Even after seeing Ares' face, he continues to mistreat his creation and makes him being completely disposable a selling point. Because Dillinger only sees Ares for what his purpose is.

You'd imagine that, after his ' win by any means' way of thinking directly leads to Athena killing his own mother, Julian would reflect and realize his mistakes and what it was that he neglected.

But nope. Even after seeing his mother die in his arms and her final words telling him it was all his fault, he just went right back to working on the computer.

It's a great parallel to Athena as well. When the sprinklers come on and she feels the 'rain', so to speak, she can't process what it is she's feeling, so her answer is to double down further on her directive.

AT LONG LAST! I'VE DRAWN THEM!

This probably makes very little sense unless you've read my fic, but the long and short of it is I attempted to dissect Ford's psyche into 3 distinct aspects.

These guys are (in order), The Scientist, The Survivor and The Fanatic

Their talk about Henry is so multilayered. Apart from the uncle thing, it also shows how truly broken they were when she first came back and how little did they communicate.

So Ziva told Tali that Henry is not her real uncle on the same day that she told Henry she’s not fucking hinting. And Tony looked embarrassed but didn’t question why. The next day, Henry’s birthday, she told Henry she’s not Tali’s real uncle. Same day when Tony signed that Interpol contract he didn’t mention to Ziva.

And then, when Ziva continued to not like Henry, Tony didn’t try to solve it. Like wouldn’t you want to know why your future spouse didn’t like your best friend? You’d want to get to the bottom of it. This shows complete lack of communication. Past Tony would’ve pushed her until she admitted, that Tony is scared she runs away if he pushes her too hard.

We just get more and more with each snipped and they add up to much bigger picture. Amazing writing.
