There have been many before me that shared what they thought would happen if Nagito’s plan didn’t work, no one ever really shares what could happen if he was alive in Chapter 6. So I’ll be sharing snippets with you of what could happen from his plan until the very end of the game. Here’s a few bullet points:
- Hajime decides to separate from the group and goes to check the warehouse, where he discovers a wounded Nagito about to carry out his plan
- The fire is sparked and the others rush to help out Hajime. Miraculously, he and Nagito survive
- Nagito is angry at Hajime for thwarting his plan, the others are even more angry and terrified at Nagito for almost killing them.
- They don’t tie him up simply because of his injuries, he is put in the hospital with an also injured Hajime as a guard
- Hajime, frustrated and upset, tries to get Nagito to talk, who refuses stubbornly. Hajime then expresses how betrayed and upset he’s been with Nagito, and just wishes to understand him
- Hajime is about to give up after a day of Nagito staying quiet, when Nagito reveals the password to the ruins
- Although surprised and suspicious of Nagito’s seemingly sudden change of heart, the others are able to go the ruins about when the timer runs out.
- Together with a still injured Nagito leaning on him to walk, Hajime explores the inside of the ruins
A fic that inspired me with this AU is starrylitme’s “Staying Together As We Fall Apart,” which shows a lot of the complexities of the situation in casa Komaeda survived. Go check it out!
