I want to keep specific talk of ep25 to a minimum to avoid spoiling people on the ep content, but I do want to point out something interesting...

It would seem that Luluka used to have long hair in the past, while Cure Eclair candidate had Luluka's current hair length. So they switched hair lengths? 👀

Y'know, I think I've been red herring'd by Shiruku.

My basic deduction with Shiruku being Cure Eclair was how she basically had all the usual qualities of a cure, being upbeat, inspiring, and had really enjoyable presence in her episodes, which I found to be focusing on her well. Meanwhile, Rei and Eriza design wise never felt fitting for Cure Eclair, though Rei's episodes have classic cure aspects as well, with her knowing about Pochitan and wishing she had power. Heck, she knows about Precure now.

But... Kurea felt lacking to me. Like her two episodes have been about Anna and Luluka, not Kurea. But then again, since Eclair has amnesia, maybe that's the point.

I really enjoyed her presence in ep 23, and Luluka stuff was so good with her. But because I feel like I don't know her, I felt like she just pushed the right buttons on Luluka to get the reactions. But now that I think about connecting her lack of uh, actual focus in episodes maybe being related to amnesia... maybe it makes sense.

So basically, I ignored Kurea due to her not feeling like typical cure material, when amnesia can pretty much explain those.

Guess we'll see on Sunday! Either way, it's been fun deducting and speculating and seeing how others feel about their deductions! Means the writers have done a nice job!

You know what I have been thinking about Luluka and what happened to Eclair with Makoto Jewel?

I wonder if Luluka cared deeply about Eclair, and whatever fight was happening back then, it was prophesized (maybe by Mashutan) that one of them would fall. If I remember correctly, Luluka was seen alone against Usonoir til Eclair came to rescue and shattered the Makoto Jewel.

So, what if Luluka wanted to make sure Eclair would survive the incident, and thus didn't originally tell Eclair about going to the battle.

And then she'd blame herself for what happened to Eclair.

Thus making this face I added above in the Youtube preview of next episode. Because Eclair returning would mean her facing danger again. A chance for Eclair to fall again.

However: The preview on Crunchyroll, and I assume same one was on TV airing, shows a happier shot instead.

Personally, I assume this shot to be from the past. An encounter Eclair remembers. Because the sadder shot on youtube doesn't fit in with this shot.

So, if Luluka is feeling guilt, it would explain why she doesn't believe her partner can ever remember the past again. She might even want to prevent it, in order to protect her.

Then again, preview on Youtube also shows she's switching sides. Maybe Usonoir using Eclair's Makoto Jewel was the last straw in her game of being one of the Phantom Thieves, and has to switch sides to save her partner's Makoto Jewel from being misused.

But yeh. I get the feeling Eclair's return won't be the happiest moment for Luluka, not at first. She could be in denial about it and pushing her partner away to make sure she won't have to face her fear of losing her again. But we'll see next week!

Y'know, if I had to say what compels me the most in believing that Kurea is Cure Eclair...

Apparently she was shown to know be completely fluent in written japanese. And that Luluka's announcement card was written in a way that would help foreigner understand the text?

This is something I've seen people mention and honestly, that seems like a very compelling reason to believe her to be Cure Eclair. It would be cool to have a cure from another country?

Ofc there are other clues, but imo those could be explained in couple ways (heh), but this feels like an important detail 🤔 However, it could also just be a detail, to lead theorists astray! We will see!

I kinda want to put a compilation of all the details the four girls have in common with Eclair or her partner Luluka but like, idk where to begin really, it feels like it would be quite the task to write down lol.

If I find the time and such later this week, I'll try to figure out something. I worry that the preview for next week will give some obvious hint that will render further speculation null, so it wouldn't give Rei ep much room for speculation, but I'd also feel a bit sad to leave possible details from it out. Hmm.

I just gotta said, I'm really enjoying this mystery. I may have suspected Shiruku as my candiate, but rn it's between the two of Shiruku and Kurea. But then there's also Shushutan!! Who is Shushutan???

Oh man, the last two weeks til reveal is gonna be quite the wait. I'm excited!

Man, today's TanPre ep was excellent as well. Like, I could see the Luluka/Kurea dynamic hints here being like, couple different routes:

One, Luluka was making her own investigation on whether Kurea might be Eclair.

Two, Kurea's dad talking about memories got Luluka emotional due to her former partner having lost her memories, so she felt conflicted about stealing the photo filled with such memories.

Three... Luluka knows exactly who Kurea is.

We got one more answer in this episode at least: Luluka is strongly hinted to have joined the Phantom Thief Guild to retrieve Eclair's lost Makoto Jewel. Usonoir has it in his possession and appears to know that is Luluka's goal all along!

Like, god damn. This honestly explains a lot.

Also, today was the very first time Luluka personally said "Lie lie, sir". I feel like that's a big turning point for her.

Oh, also, we learned Kurea is 16 years old. I believe Eclair's been marketed as adult-like? So I wonder what that means exactly.

But yeh. Big episode. Great Luluka focus and even more focus on white lillies.

Y'know what I think regarding Luluka and Eclair?

I think, whatever made Eclair lose her memories... also altered Luluka to forget what her civilian form looked like, and is also looking for her.

The way Luluka confronted Shiruku today, left lillies on her table (Luluka's signature flower), and next week is communicating with Kurea directly... I think she's denying the fact that she wants to look for Eclair and help her remember. But also is aware that she herself lost the memories that would define Eclair for her. For Eclair's protection.

I'm not sure how viable this theory is really, but I wanted to throw it out there.

We'll see how this goes in 4 weeks, but this is my personal vote! :D Shiruku Ieiri!
