I’m in an invisible mood right now
Too Wild to Be Loved
if you have a chance to see white rabbit red rabbit before it closes october 3rd, my advice: run don’t walk to the westside theater. here’s the nytimes review of the play, which says just enough. to the 231 other audience members who shared this experience with me, it was pretty darn cool hearing all of your voices, one at a time. ❤️
so i had a weird dream last night
so i was with fitz (great start right) but fitz was also damen from captive prince. So fitz/damen and i were riding with Laurent (also from captive prince), along with a bunch of guards. And then someone said about laurent “he likes...[i really can't remember but the important thing was the use of the male pronoun]. Then Laurent was like “actually there’s something i have to tell you. I’m agender and i use they/them pronouns.” (Laurent was also very gold at this point, like his skin tone was gold and i think he was part tree??? idk man)
But anyway, after fitz (who was no longer damen) hears this, he lets out an anguished wail, and falls off his horse, landing on all fours in the dirt. Laurent and the guards ride away, i dismount and fitz is on the ground, sobbing. like he is crying and pounding the ground, he’s really angry.
So we go over to a stone table thats just conveniently by the road, and we sit; fitz is still crying, and then he goes “I’m just so sorry. That [Laurent’s proclamation about being agender] must’ve been how the fool felt and he never got to tell me. .” Because in my dream, Beloved’s dead. And for fitz, hearing about Laurent’s gender identity/pronouns was the last piece of the puzzle in Fitz’ mind: he finally understood who the fool was, in terms of gender: a fluid being, neither male or female. but it was too late. Beloved was gone. And fitz never accepted him or even heard him out.
Anyway me n fitz sat at the stone table and talked about beloved and how he wasn’t a tree person like Laurent was, and then fitz did an impression of the fool like he said “I know exactly how he [the fool] would’ve told me: and then he took my hand and said (as the fool) ‘Fitz..my Beloved...’ and then i fucjubg wOKE UP. AHH
anyway i hope that was semi coherent. it sure was a trip for me lmao
