My taste in favorite characters is questionable and weird. How did I become like this?

It really bothers me in movies and TV shows when a female character’s backstory is shown, and she’s dressed all in black, with dark makeup and hair, to signify a ‘bad time’ in their life. Then, when they become complete, confident people, they’re blond, bubbly, and wear bright colors.

Like... excuse the fuck out of me, but last I checked, people with alternative styles can be just as well adjusted, happy and confident as anyone else, and sometimes even more so.

Fucking Hollywood man.
