RANT 2.0 - GA FINALE SPOILERS

Damn. It would have been better if they had just killed Owen. Better than this crap-ass finale to a crap-ass season.

We started this season with Merluca blossoming, Jolex in love, and Omelia on solid ground raising a family.

We end with Jo severely depressed, Mer/Deluca going to jail, Alex/Webber taking her fall for her, and Towen replacing a recovering Omelia, with Amy in pain yet again.

Thanks writers, for ruining everything good about this show. For negating Crowen, for tarnishing Omelia for cheap drama. Thanks for making one of the most toxic pairs a thing now, and for negating Owen’s 10+ years on the show.

Yup. That means nothing now.

Nor this. God, this hurts.

Le sigh.

With Callie, Derek, Arizona and even April gone, and my favourite ships destroyed, I think it may just be time to give up the show for good. None of the relationships even mean anything now. While I still hold out hope that by season 17 we might see a reunion of Amelia and Owen, I’d rather sit out than pine after every episode for writers to get their shit together.

It was good while it lasted Grey’s. Now I’m just gonna go back and bingewatch the first couple of seasons again. When things weren’t as stupid and senseless retconning wasn’t a thing.

So yeah, that’s it, folks. Not here for regressive, backward, toxic Towen. And frankly...

That thread of Fredo's is so bad. I mean, would the commenters have found it better if he had been using POC that talk about biopower and all that? Or if he had just not mentioned where he was pulling this stuff from and pretended he was just pulling it out of the void? Our would they rather keep the dialogue at the level of shallow, panicked reblogs, and avoid any critical thought on all this because theory is necessarily bad and divorced from struggle? Especially since being critical would implicate them as well (considering one was a TERF)? Pretty sure it's the latter.
