I’m really happy CR has finally uploaded Hyouka onto their database.
As someone who watched this show back in 2012 whilst it was airing; seeing it come back to life has been wonderful. The cinematography is brilliant and the in depth story is such a pleasure to watch. The fandom felt so small back then for it; but it’s really nice to see it finally spark up again with new viewers.
Til today, I think it’s one of KyoAni’s best animation attempts. They truly outdid themselves in the background and character art. The amount of detail they gave in every episode was astounding. And the eyes. Let’s never forget those big, bright eyes.
