#gif#meme#replies#polucyworld#i was going to include public eye#but it has no gifs#which i clearly need to do something about#but not in time for this meme#i love theatrical telly#things that have a heightened reality#things i loved as a child#old brit tv#which is theatrical telly#and spooks#but then spooks s1-4 was frequently written by a playwright#theatrical telly#or you could just say i have no taste#whichever#XD#but basically theatrical tv#tends to have more wordplay#and be more poetic and metaphorical#and i see no reason why fiction should sacrifice that to be 'real'#when no fiction is real#and realism can be v unrealistic too#but we are just trained to accept the conventions#but you can train yourself to accept the conventions of less 'realistic' things#and that's great
