i’m never not insane about how opla luffys first impressions of zoro and sanji mirror each other, how the first time he sees them both he watches them fight and out loud comments “good fighter” and then later, in his first proper conversations with them, he tells them both that they’re “a good guy” which he saw in zoro protecting rika and sanji feeding gin…like yup…those are his wings…his strongest fighters and two of the best people you will ever meet…

thinking about a uni!au where sanji’s a gastronomy student who forces zoro to sit down and eat plate after plate of japanese cuisine because he wants it to look as authentic as possible and zoro’s the only person he knows who actually grew up in japan and can give an honest opinion (even if he fucking hates the guy)

Something cute I’ve noticed about Zoro: he doesn’t deny that he’s worried about Sanji. Zoro could’ve easily dismissed Luffy’s words by directly telling him he doesn’t give a damn about that shitty cook, but he’s grumpily telling Luffy “don’t make me kick your ass” because Luffy guessed right... he’s indeed worried about his curlybrows husbando XD

Zoro also doesn’t deny Luffy’s words that Sanji’s pretty much worth a thousand people... just that he’s stronger XD His sense of rivalry toward Sanji is pretty much burning here, but even he grudgingly has to admit that the cook deserves his captain’s words of praise. Zoro’s being an enormous tsun, that’s what I’m saying :3
